The Heartland triathlon was one of my favorite triathlons because the course was very nice and pretty and the beach we swam in was peaceful! It was also the first time I was in the seniors group which is twice the distance of the juniors group.

Me and my friends Addie and Ben were all in the same age group and our neighbor Parker was one year older but still did the same distance. Noah and Jack were in the Junior’s which is were they, swim 100 yards, bike 3 miles, and run half a mile.

For my first time using bike shoes in a race I thought I did very well I couldn’t get them cliped in at the beginning but I did and went off.

I placed 6th in the female 11 year olds and 43rd overall females in the race!
